96th Anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev

On May 10, 2019 an event dedicated to the 96th birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Croatia.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps in Croatia, including the ambassadors of Russia, Kazakhstan to Croatia, MP V.Kaytazi, members of the Croatia-Azerbaijan Friendship Society attended the event dedicated to the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Ambassador F.Gurbanov spoke about the genius Heydar Aliyev's invaluable service to our nation and state, and spoke about the national leader's glorious lifestyle and unprecedented services in the history of our national statehood, including its exceptional activity in the field of legal state building, the development of our country's foreign policy, economy, education and culture.

Then Ambassador of Russia to Croatia Anvar Azimov delivered a speech. Speaking about Heydar Aliyev's exceptional role in making important decisions in the economy of the Soviet Union as First Deputy Chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers, he emphasized that Heydar Aliyev was one of the most prominent political figures of our time.
