Private visit visa

Private visit visa is issued to foreigners and stateless persons entering the Republic of Azerbaijan upon invitation of a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a foreigner or stateless persons permanently residing in the Republic of Azerbaijan, a labour migrant holding a temporary residence permit or a foreigner or stateless person who gets education (only for the family members of labour migrant or the foreigner and stateless person who gets education), registered by the relevant executive authority. 

Required documents:

1. Completed visa application form.
   
   

2. Original passport with a copy of main page of the passport.

   The passport must be valid for no less than three months after the date of your planned departure from Azerbaijan.

3. One passport sized photo of the applicant.

• Photos must be taken within the last 6 months to reflect the current appearance.
• Coloured photo must be full face and white background.

4. Visa fee.

• 35 Euros for single and multiple entry visas (only for the EU citizens).
• Visa processing fee should be transferred to the following bank account of the Embassy in advance
• Please be noted that the paid visa fee is not refundable and confirmation of the payment should be submitted to the Embassy.

5. An invitation letter from a receiving person should be notarially certified.

• The written requests should include the following information:

For the invited person - name, surname, date of birth, sex, citizenship, passport number, time and purpose of the journey, number of entries and where relevant the name of the spouse and children accompanying the invited person.

For the inviting person - name, surname and address accompanied by a photocopy of his/her national ID card.

6. Copy of flight details (optional)

• Applicant must submit copy of car registration document and driver’s license, if he/she planning to travel by car.

7. Proof of accommodation (optional)

• Hotel reservation, rental agreement of house / apartment, etc.

Important notice:

• Only complete applications can be accepted. The Embassy reserves the right to ask for additional documents/information not mentioned in the list above upon the application.
• Processing time is up to 10 days. Visa processing starts only after all required documents are available for the Embassy.
• Foreigners and stateless persons temporarily staying in the Republic of Azerbaijan for a period of more than 15 days must get registered upon place of stay. To do so, foreigners and stateless persons or administration of the place or owner of the residential area (“receiving party”) must submit the application and copy of visiting person’s passport (other border crossing document) to the State Migration Service via official webpage (http://en.e.migration.gov.az/), e-mail (qeydiyyat@migration.gov.az) or in person within ten days after arrival of a foreigner or a stateless person in the country.
