The concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and the 100th anniversary of prominent Azerbaijani composer Kara Karayev
On 12 September 2018, in Zagreb on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and the 100th anniversary of prominent Azerbaijani composer Gara Garayev a concert of classical music was held with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian-Azerbaijani Friendship Society.
The event took place at the Great Hall of the Croatian Music Institute, the oldest concert hall in Zagreb. The conductor of the concert was Yalchin Adigozalov, accompanied by the Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra and pianist Farhad Badalbayli.
Ambassador Fakhraddin Gurbanov thanked the guests and underlined the importance of the event in terms of development of Croatian-Azerbaijani cultural relations. Noting the official visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Republic of Croatia a few days ago, the ambassador pointed out that during the visit, the program on cultural cooperation between two countries was signed.
The performances by prominent composer Gara Garayev's "Seven Beauties", "Path of Thunder" ballets, Fikret Amirov, Tofig Guliyev, Farhad Badalbeyli and Vagif Mustafazade were met with great pleasure by the audience.
